PETER “PETE” J. KIGHT - Chairman
Mr. Kight is a Co-Chairman of the Comvest Group and a Managing Partner of the General Partner. Mr. Kight was previously the founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CheckFree Corporation. Mr. Kight founded CheckFree in 1981 in his grandmother’s basement. His initial vision was to provide electronic funds transfer services, but that vision expanded to services and infrastructures that enable the electronic movement and management of personal and business finances. Today, CheckFree is the leading provider of financial electronic commerce services and products, and the market leader in electronic billing and payment. CheckFree became a publicly held company in 1995, trading on NASDAQ under the symbol CKFR. The company progressively expanded its scope as the financial electronic commerce market moved forward, building and managing complementary infrastructures – bill payment, electronic funds transfer, investment services, compliance services, payment transaction software, electronic billing software, global financial transaction management capabilities – through internal development and acquisitions. In 2001, Mr. Kight was recognized as one of 10 unsung financial heroes by Money Magazine. Future Banker Magazine named him the sixth most influential personality in financial services, and he was featured in Fortune Magazine, where CheckFree’s e payments functionality was named one of the “Seven Silver Bullet Technologies.” Mr. Kight is a director of Akamai Technologies, Inc. and Manhattan Associates, Inc. Mr. Kight was Chairman of the Comvest Advisory Board, and has been one of the largest individual investors in Comvest II, Comvest III and Comvest Capital I and Comvest Capital II. Mr. Kight has also co-invested with Comvest in Catalyst, Allegiant, and Allied.
DANIEL K. NENADOVIC - Director
Mr. Nenadovic is a Managing Director and Partner at The ComVest Group. Mr. Nenadovic previously worked at Commonwealth Associates. Prior to joining Commonwealth, Mr. Nenadovic worked at a merchant bank focused on information technology, where he was involved in all facets of the deal-making process for the firm's venture fund and mergers & acquisitions divisions. Mr. Nenadovic also worked at Allen & Company, a merchant bank specializing in the media, telecom, and entertainment industries. Mr. Nenadovic graduated cum laude from the Stern School of Business at New York University, with dual Bachelors Degrees in Finance and International Business.
RANDAL “RANDY” A. MCCOY - Director
Mr. McCoy is currently Chief Executive Officer of Pipeline Data, Inc. Prior to joining Pipeline, he has held various executive positions in his 17 years with CheckFree Corporation to July 2007 including Chief Technology Officer, Executive Vice President, and President of CheckFree's Software Division. McCoy's leadership included oversight of product development, corporate strategy and emerging technology. Under McCoy's leadership, CheckFree Software grew from $70 million to over $200 million in revenue annually through a combination of organic and acquisitive means emphasizing dynamic sales growth and operational execution. Mr. McCoy is the recipient of many distinguished awards including InfoWorld's Top 25 Most Influential CTO's, AEA Spirit of Endeavor award for Outstanding Technological Innovation and is a guest lecturer at the Federal Reserve Bank annually recognized as a national expert on electronic payments. Mr. McCoy is the recipient of numerous patents for innovation in the electronic payments arena.
JIM DOUGLASS - Director
Jim brings over 15 years of operations management, strategic development, and financial experience with rapidly growing financial services and healthcare companies. Jim was most recently CEO of the Atlanta based Visionary Systems, Inc., a leading provider of decision systems for credit providers and retailers. VSI was successfully sold to Trans Union in 2004. Visionary Systems is a leading independent provider of customer insight technologies empowering clients to effectively acquire and retain highly profitable customers. Prior to Visionary Systems, Jim served as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Chief Financial Officer with CheckFree Corporation. While at CheckFree, Jim was part of the executive management team that grew the company to over $500 million in revenue as the leading provider of electronic billing and payment services to financial institutions and portals. Prior to CheckFree, Jim served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Medaphis Corporation, a leading provider of medical billing services and management software. Jim began his career with KPMG in the Financial Services practice.
PETER DAVIS - Director
During his professional career Pete has held progressive leadership positions with both Fortune 500 firms, as well as various entrepreneurial endeavors. Through Pete’s leadership Vesdia Corporation has become a widely recognized leader in the mutual fund and credit card industries, and enjoyed average annual revenue growth of more than 300% during the past five years. For his efforts, Pete has received recognition as a nominee for the coveted Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award and was recently named to both the Grant Thornton "Catalyst 50" list of Atlanta's most influential entrepreneurs, as well as to the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s list of "50 Under 40" list of up-and-coming executives. During the six years prior to starting Vesdia, Pete was a sales and marketing executive with Procter & Gamble. While at P&G, Pete managed the company's famed Pampers and Luvs brands, including the implementation of a several new parent loyalty programs. Prior to P&G, Pete served in leadership roles of increasing responsibility at Wachovia Bank and Boston-based Sterling Millworks. Pete has Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and Anthropology from Tulane University, a Master of Business Administration from Emory University, and a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University
